October, 2013 - The Burnaby Firefighters Charitable Society have been announced as finalists in two categories for the Burnaby Business Excellence Awards, sponsored by the Burnaby Board of Trade. The awards will be presented at the 14th BBEA Gala taking place on November 14, 2013 at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown Hotel.

The Charitable Society has been nominated for the “Burnaby Community Spirit Award” and in the “Not for Profit” category.

“We are very honoured to be named finalists in both of these categories and are up against some great competition,” said Rob Lamoureux, President of the Burnaby Firefighters Charitable Society. “Our volunteer efforts to help our community are very important to us and we appreciate the important recognition these nominations bring to an organization.”

Each year, the Burnaby Board of Trade, in partnership with the City of Burnaby, recognizes businesses and organizations which have demonstrated outstanding business success over many years and have had a positive and significant impact on the community.
