Burnaby Firefighter Adam Smith presents The Tyson Smith Memorial Bursary Award in memory of his brother, Robert Tyson Smith (Dec. 30,1985 - Feb. 10, 2014) to David (Luke) Mishchenko.

This award is presented annually by the Burnaby Firefighters and the Smith family to a Clayton Heights student that has made a lasting impression and in doing so inspires and motivates others. Their leadership, dedication and cheerful contribution to make a difference in the school and the community is outstanding. When facing challenges this student succeeds through their drive, determination and passion. This positive role model is respectful of others and posses the qualities and characteristics we hope to instil in all students at Clayton Heights. These are just some of the outstanding personality traits and qualities to remember and honour Tyson’s memory.
